On the BA Creative Writing we look at the craft of writing not only from every aspect of form - the short story, the novel, the poem, the play, the screenplay - but also every aspect of the industry. The series of talks we have made available as podcasts on the Writer's Hub are from the Life of the Writer module which is taken by all second year students. On this module we invite five (or this year six) writers working in different forms to discuss their writing process and how they have produced some of their most celebrated works. Students then must write an essay on the work and process of one of the writers and reflect how it relates to their own work and working practice. This year we are delighted to be able to share with you talks by Richard Hamblyn on Writing Creative Non-Fiction, Luke Williams and Natasha Soobramanien on Collaborating on Fiction, Annie Freud on writing Poetry, Julia Bell on Writing for Young Adults and Russell Celyn Jones on Writing Novels.
