Raised in London, Dave Wakely has worked as a musician, university administrator, poetry librarian, and editor in locations as disparate as Bucharest, Notting Hill and Milton Keynes. Currently working as a freelance writer, having completed his Birkbeck Creative Writing MA, he lives in Buckinghamshire with his civil partner and too many guitars. His stories have appeared in issues 10 and 11 of The Mechanics’ Institute Review, and in Ambit and Glitterwolf magazines. As well as reading at Hubbub and Arts Gateway MK events, Dave is the MC of the Birkbeck Poets at the Duke of Wellington.
