Julia Gray is a writer, singer-songwriter and teacher. She has a degree in classics from UCL and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Children’s Literature from Birkbeck, where she is currently completing an MA in Creative Writing. She has written text for a children’s picture book about the endangered Arabian leopard, which was published by Stacey International in September 2014. Her first solo album, I Am Not The Night, was released in 2011 and described by Word Magazine as “the sound of a potential realised”. Her second album, Robber Bride, was released in June 2014. A collaboration with award-winning South African producer Paul Rassel, and recorded with the support of Arts Council England, the album explores how stories can be retold in song. Julia is currently working on a YA novel and is represented by Louise Lamont at LBA Books.
