Born in 1980, Evie Wyld grew up in Australia and London. She obtained a B.A. from Bath Spa University and an M.A. from Goldsmiths, University of London, both in Creative Writing. Her first novel, After the Fire, A Still Small Voice, won the John Llewellyn Rhys Prize and a Betty Trask Award. Her second novel, All the Birds, Singing, was published by Jonathan Cape in June 2013. In 2013 she was also named as one of Granta's 20 Best Young British Novelists. Wyld now lives in Brixton and works at an independent bookshop in Peckham.
