MIR11 Opportunity to be on the Editorial Team

The Mechanics’ Institute Review needs you!

MIR11 is being produced with the love of students and staff rather than for assessment this year, meaning we are looking for volunteers to help with the selection and editing of submitted work. You will need to be available to read work in April and come to a few meetings as and when in the Summer term (mostly on a Thursday evening – it won’t be too onerous).

If you have previously edited MIR all the better – we’d love to hear from you.

The only proviso is that volunteers can’t submit work this year – but you get to be involved in the production of a book, sharpen your editorial skills and learn about the publishing process.

We’ll be having a meeting at 6pm on Feb 6th – anyone interested please email Julia Bell by Jan 24th with subject heading MIR11.

Thank you

Julia Bell and Sue Tyley
