TLC 'Writing in a Digital Age' Conference

The Literary Conference 2013: 'Writing in a Digital Age' takes place on Friday the 7th and Saturday the 8th of June at the Free Word Centre.

We have a special discount for Birkbeck Students for this conference. Email to get the promotional code. (Offer ends 22 May.)

The conference is in its second year and was created by The Literary Consultancy in collaboration with Amphora Arts.

TLC’s Director Rebecca Swift writes: "Feedback from last year showed an overwhelming enthusiasm for the conference’s broad mix of straight-talking speakers and inspirational stories from the traditional and the ‘new’. A year on and there is an even greater sense of information overload in terms of what’s on offer. Writers and those working with them are desperate to keep as up to date as possible, and this year’s programme aims to go further in TLC’s on-going aim to help them navigate towards solutions in their best

Audrey Niffenegger, author of The Time Traveller's Wife, will deliver the keynote address and other guests and panelists include: Robert McCrum, Gordon Wise, Stefan Tobler, Alison Flood, Scott Pack, Tom Chivers and Rebecca Swift. Partners for the 2013 conference include: the TLS, the Society for Editors & Proofreaders, The Literary Platform’s forthcoming Writing Platform, the Alliance of Independent Authors, Book Hackday, Contentment’s new e-book conversion platform BookFlower and the Free Word Centre.  See the full programme of events on the website.

Don't forget that TLC Director Rebecca Swift will be joining us for our own 'Getting Published in the Digital Era' Panel Discussion during Birkbeck Arts Week.
